Harry Higgs has had an incredible run in the Korn Ferry Tour, winning his third tournament in just seven days after a five-year gap between his first and second victories. The weather-challenged Visit Knoxville Open saw Higgs shoot a 5-under 65 to finish at 19 under, leading to a playoff with Frankie Capan III, who birdied the 18th to force the playoff. Higgs ultimately secured the win with an eagle on the second playoff hole, sinking a putt from over 36 feet away.

Higgs attributed his recent success to sticking to his routine and taking care of his body and mind. His back-to-back wins in playoffs mark a historic achievement on the Korn Ferry Tour. Despite strong performances by other competitors like Capan and Cummins, Higgs’ consistency and focus propelled him to victory, moving him up to the No. 2 spot on the Korn Ferry Tour points list and positioning him well for a return to the PGA Tour in 2025.

In just a week, Higgs went from chipping in for eagle to win in Kansas City to sinking a long putt for an eagle in the playoff at the Visit Knoxville Open. His mental and physical preparation have been key to his recent success, and he plans to continue with the same routine moving forward. With conditional status on the PGA Tour in 2024, Higgs has proven his talent and potential for a full-time return to the top level of professional golf.

The Korn Ferry Tour has been a platform for emerging talents like Higgs to showcase their skills and earn their way to the PGA Tour. Higgs’ consecutive wins and impressive performances have solidified his status as a rising star in the golfing world. The win in Knoxville not only added to his trophy collection but also boosted his confidence and motivation to continue excelling in future tournaments.

The excitement and drama of the playoff victory in Knoxville highlighted Higgs’ composure under pressure and his ability to deliver in clutch moments. The competitive nature of the Korn Ferry Tour provides a challenging yet rewarding environment for players like Higgs to test their abilities and strive for greatness. With two consecutive playoff wins, Higgs has set a new standard for success on the tour and established himself as a formidable contender in the world of professional golf.

As Higgs looks ahead to the rest of the season and beyond, his recent victories have set a strong foundation for his career and potential on the PGA Tour. His dedication to his craft and disciplined approach to his game have set him apart from his peers and earned him recognition as a top performer in the Korn Ferry Tour. With the confidence and momentum gained from his back-to-back wins, Higgs is poised for even greater achievements in the future.
