Max Homa and Kevin Kisner made a Presidents Cup bet that involved Kisner taking his shirt off if Homa holed out from the fairway during the event. The bet was inspired by similar antics at previous team events, such as the Solheim Cup where caddies shed their shirts in celebration of a hole-out. The scene quickly went viral on social media, generating interest and excitement around the bet.

During the Sunday singles match at Royal Montreal, Homa cashed in on his end of the deal by holing out from the fairway for an eagle. This moment triggered the bet made by Kisner, who had previously promised to take his shirt off if Homa achieved this feat. Despite the playful nature of the bet, Kisner doubled down on it during a pre-event press conference, reaffirming his commitment to follow through on his promise if Homa made the shot.

After Homa’s impressive hole-out, NBC cut to a live interview with Kisner, who was red-faced and clearly aware of the bet he had made. Kisner jokingly referenced Homa’s motivation and success in achieving the shot, indicating that he was avoiding Homa to delay paying up on the bet. However, with an American victory party on the horizon, it seems like Kisner will eventually have to fulfill his end of the wager.

Jack Hirsh, a Golf.com editor, highlighted the excitement and entertainment that the bet between Homa and Kisner brought to the Presidents Cup event. The playful nature of the bet added an element of fun and camaraderie to the competition, showcasing the lighter side of golf and the interactions between players. The viral nature of the bet and the subsequent fulfillment of Homa’s end added to the drama and excitement of the event.

Overall, the Presidents Cup bet between Max Homa and Kevin Kisner added an entertaining and humorous element to the competition, showcasing the camaraderie and fun that can be found in golf. Despite its lighthearted nature, the bet generated excitement and interest among fans and players alike, emphasizing the unique and engaging aspects of team events in golf. With Homa’s successful hole-out and Kisner’s pending fulfillment of his promise, the bet added an extra layer of anticipation and entertainment to the Presidents Cup.
