In the 2024 PGA Tour season, a total of 14 amateurs made 19 cuts, showcasing their talent and potential in the world of professional golf. Luke Clanton from Florida State stood out among the amateurs, making the cut at five different events and even securing two top 5 finishes. Another standout was Neal Shipley, who made two cuts at majors – the Masters and the U.S. Open.

One of the most notable accomplishments among the amateurs was Nick Dunlap’s victory at the American Express tournament in January. Dunlap became one of only eight golfers to win a PGA Tour event as an amateur. He later went on to win the Barracuda Championship as a professional, solidifying his status as a rising star in the world of golf.

While amateurs do not receive prize money for making the cut or winning tournaments, if they were eligible for earnings based on their finishes, the group of amateurs in 2024 would have collectively earned $3,469,805. Dunlap’s victory at the American Express would have earned him $1.512 million, while Clanton’s second-place finish at the John Deere would have been worth $712,000. In total, Clanton could have potentially earned $1,331,838 from his five finishes.

The list of amateurs who made cuts on the PGA Tour in 2024 includes various tournaments and finishes. From the American Express to the U.S. Open to the Rocket Mortgage Classic, these amateurs showcased their skills and competitiveness on a professional stage. Each tournament presented its challenges and opportunities for the amateur golfers to prove themselves among the best in the sport.

Some notable finishes among the amateurs include Jackson Van Paris’s tie for 10th at the Puerto Rico Open, Luke Clanton’s tie for second at the John Deere Classic, and Neal Shipley’s tie for 26th at the U.S. Open. These finishes not only highlighted the potential of the amateurs but also indicated their ability to compete at a high level against seasoned professionals in the PGA Tour.

Overall, the 2024 PGA Tour season saw a remarkable display of talent and potential from amateur golfers. From making cuts to securing wins, these amateurs proved that they have what it takes to succeed in the world of professional golf. With continued determination and hard work, the future looks bright for these rising stars in the sport. As they continue to hone their skills and gain experience, the amateurs of 2024 are poised to make a significant impact in the world of golf for years to come.
