Scottie Scheffler was praised for an ‘elite dad move’ after cameras caught him multitasking with his baby son after winning the PGA Championship on Sunday.

The 28-year-old father of one was carrying his son, Bennett, as he prepared to do a press conference alongside Alex Noren.

And with the three-time major winner needing his son to be occupied for a bit during his media availability, he gave Bennett his hat and scorecard to play with after placing the tot on the floor.

Noren, who finished tied for 17th in the tournament, could be seen chuckling afterwards as Scheffler sat down next to him.

And fans had plenty of positive feedback online too.

‘Throwing the hat and book down as makeshift toys as you desperately try to buy 2 mins to do something important is an elite dad move,’ one said on X.

He then put his scorecard and hat on the ground for his son, Bennett, to play with

‘He’s a hands-on dad. Can’t fake that. Love to see it,’ a second added.

‘One of us,’ a third said.

‘And a fourth chimed in: ‘Random household objects will get more play time from a child than any store purchased toy, parents know.’

The lighthearted moment came after Scheffler emotionally celebrated his PGA Championship win with his wife, Meredith, and Bennett.

The family-of-three embraced before Scheffler and Meredith shared a kiss.

Cameras also caught the golfer sharing a touching moment with his parents, as his father sweetly congratulated him.

‘Words can’t describe what we just watched,’ his father could be heard saying on the CBS broadcast.

‘You are the toughest guy, and the sweetest boy. I’m so proud of you. Thank you for never giving up, Scottie.’

Scheffler won by a comfortable five shots on Sunday at Quail Hollow to secure the first major title of his career away from Augusta National.

Earlier in the day, he found himself level with Jon Rahm after three bogeys on the front nine, but settled his nerves down the stretch to pull away.

‘Finishing off a major championship is always difficult, and I did a good job of staying patient on the front nine,’ he said on CBS afterwards.

‘I didn’t have my best stuff, but I kept myself in it, and I stepped up on the back nine and had a really good nine holes. That’s about it.
