Justin Rose may not have won the Masters, but he will still walk away with a prize

Justin Rose showed incredible resilience during the final round of the Masters, shooting a six-under 66 to force a playoff for the green jacket against Rory McIlroy. Despite his loss, Rose’s performance was historic, earning him recognition in the history books and a payout of $2,268,000. Additionally, he will have his name engraved on the permanent Masters Trophy and receive a silver salver and medallion featuring the iconic clubhouse view down Magnolia Lane.

Along with the prestigious green jacket, Rory McIlroy’s win at the Masters completed his career Grand Slam and earned him a payout of $4,200,000. He will also have his name engraved on the permanent Masters Trophy, receive a sterling replica of the Masters Trophy, an Augusta National gold medal, and other accolades. McIlroy’s victory was a significant milestone in his career and will go down in history.

Both Rose and McIlroy received crystal vases for posting the low round of the day during different rounds of the tournament. Zach Johnson and Hideki Matsuyama also earned crystal vases for their performances, highlighting the competitive nature of the Masters Tournament. The tradition of awarding crystal vases to players for their exceptional rounds dates back to the tournament’s early days.

The low amateur of the tournament, Justin Hastings, unfortunately missed the cut and did not receive a trophy. This tradition, dating back to 1952, requires the low amateur to make the 36-hole cut in order to be eligible for the award. While Hastings was not present for the green jacket ceremony, he still made a significant impact in the tournament as the low amateur.

In addition to the top finishers and the low amateur, 20 players received Masters Tournament crystal goblets for recording an eagle during the tournament. This further highlights the exceptional skill and talent displayed by the players throughout the competition. The Masters Tournament is known for its tradition and prestige, making each award and accolade highly coveted among professional golfers.

Overall, the 2025 Masters Tournament was filled with intense competition, memorable performances, and historic moments. Justin Rose’s remarkable comeback, Rory McIlroy’s career Grand Slam, and the recognition given to top performers and the low amateur all contributed to the excitement and prestige of the event. As one of the most iconic tournaments in golf, the Masters continues to showcase the talent and determination of the world’s best golfers year after year.
