Irish golfer Shane Lowry has recently achieved a rare feat of scoring a hole-in-one at the iconic Pebble Beach Golf Course during the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am tournament in 2025. This remarkable shot adds to his previous aces at TPC Sawgrass and Augusta National, making him the only player on the PGA Tour to hold three holes in one on such prestigious courses. Lowry humbly credits his success to a combination of skill and luck, acknowledging that occasional good fortune plays a role in these rare accomplishments.

The latest hole in one was scored by Lowry with a wedge shot from 106 yards, landing the ball just left of the hole and spinning it perfectly into the cup. Following this impressive shot, Lowry celebrated with his playing partners, caddies, and tournament officials. To further commemorate the moment, he treated the media and fellow golfer Rory McIlroy to pizza and beer at Spyglass Hill, where McIlroy had also achieved a hole in one.

Lowry’s achievement has sparked curiosity about which other notable golf courses he might target to add to his hole-in-one list. Speculation about potential future aces at courses like Augusta’s 12th hole or TPC Scottsdale’s 16th hole has surfaced, demonstrating Lowry’s consistent ability to execute precise shots under pressure. Despite these possibilities, Lowry maintains a realistic perspective, jokingly expressing contentment with merely scoring pars on challenging holes like Augusta’s 12th.

The significance of Lowry’s recent feat is underscored by golf statistician Justin Ray’s confirmation that no other player on the PGA Tour has achieved three holes in one on major courses, making Lowry’s accomplishment truly unique. As a former Open Championship winner, Lowry’s exceptional talent and consistency on the course have earned him recognition and respect among fellow professional golfers and fans alike. His ability to remain composed and deliver exceptional shots in high-stakes competitions sets him apart as a formidable competitor on the tour.

Lowry’s hole-in-one at Pebble Beach adds to his growing list of memorable moments in his professional golf career, showcasing his skill, precision, and composure in different tournament conditions. While luck may have played a role in his recent success, Lowry’s dedication to his craft and commitment to continuous improvement have contributed to his ongoing success. As he reflects on this latest achievement, Lowry remains grateful for the opportunities to showcase his talents on some of the world’s most prestigious golf courses and looks forward to future challenges and triumphs in his career.
