Spanish golfer Marta Martin claimed her first victory on the Ladies European Tour by shooting a nine-under-par 63 on the final day of the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open. The 27-year-old Madrid native had been in contention throughout the tournament, with rounds of 69 and 67 on the first two days putting her in second place after 36 holes. However, it was her remarkable seven consecutive birdies on holes 5-11 during the final round that ultimately secured her a four-shot victory with a total of 17-under-par.

This victory marked Martin’s second professional win and her second in Czechia, after previously winning the Czech Ladies Challenge on the LET Access Series in 2023. Following her impressive performance, Martin expressed her happiness and the special connection she feels to Czechia. She described her final round as phenomenal and enjoyable, emphasizing the numerous birdies that propelled her to victory.

Despite Martin’s dominant performance, England’s Rosie Davies also made a strong showing by finishing in second place with a career-best result on the LET. Davies matched Martin’s final round score of 63, rolling in six birdies on her back nine to finish with a total of 13-under-par. The 34-year-old’s impressive play solidified her standing in the tournament and demonstrated her skill on the course.

Additionally, Finland’s Ursula Wikstrom, Wales’ Chloe Williams, and Sweden’s Caroline Hedwall all finished in a share of third place, each recording a total of 12-under-par. Their consistent play throughout the event earned them a spot on the leaderboard alongside other top competitors. The tight competition and strong performances from multiple players added excitement to the tournament and showcased the depth of talent on the Ladies European Tour.

Overall, the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open provided a thrilling conclusion with Martin emerging victorious after a stellar final round. Her exceptional play, particularly the streak of seven consecutive birdies, set her apart from the competition and secured her first LET title. The event demonstrated the competitive nature of professional women’s golf and highlighted the skill and dedication of the players who participated. Martin’s win will undoubtedly serve as a significant milestone in her career, further solidifying her place among the top golfers on the tour.

Looking ahead, Martin’s success at the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open is likely to boost her confidence and motivation as she continues to compete on the Ladies European Tour. With this breakthrough victory under her belt, she will aim to build on this momentum and maintain her strong performance in future tournaments. Additionally, the impressive display of talent from Davies, Wikstrom, Williams, and Hedwall underscores the depth of competition on the tour and sets the stage for exciting battles in upcoming events. As the season progresses, fans can look forward to more thrilling moments and inspiring performances from the talented golfers on the Ladies European Tour.
