Odyssey has introduced the all-new Ai-ONE Square 2 Square putter line-up, expanding their premium putter offerings. The new putters come in three designs – Double Wide, Jailbird, and #7 – and feature a center-shafted design that sets them apart from the standard Ai ONE putters. The main difference lies in the placement of the center of gravity on the same plane as the shaft, resulting in a ‘zero torque’ design that prevents twisting and rotating during the stroke.
Unlike traditional putters that allow the face to move in an arc, the Ai-ONE Square 2 Square putters encourage the face to stay square throughout the stroke. This can be particularly beneficial for players who tend to manipulate the face through impact, as the putter self-corrects and stays square without any input from the player. The putters feature more than 6° of loft, thanks to the forward press design that naturally delofts the face at impact to 3°, promoting consistent ball speeds across the face.
The Ai-designed insert on the Ai-ONE Square 2 Square putters is attached to a White Hot Urethane surface to further enhance ball speeds and performance. While the shaft placement directly behind the insert covers the window allowing players to view the insert’s contours, it ensures the head starts and remains square to the target. The putter models – Double Wide, Jailbird, and #7 – offer different head options with various alignment aids to suit different player preferences.
All three models come with Stroke Lab SL90 counterbalanced steel shafts in Standard, Cruiser, and Broomstick lengths, providing players with options to choose the best fit for their putting stroke. The Ai-ONE Square 2 Square putters are priced at £289 and will be available for sale starting on November 29.
