Pebble Beach Golf Links is one of the most recognized and picturesque golf courses in the world, situated on the Monterey Peninsula in California. The area is exclusive and luxurious, with Pacific Grove and Carmel-by-the-Sea located nearby. Houses in this area can sell for eight figures, with one mansion overlooking the 11th green and 12th tee of Pebble Beach’s course selling for $31 million in 2022.

The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is a prestigious event held at the golf course, attracting some of the biggest names in golf and celebrities. The tournament was originally set up by Bing Crosby and now brings 80 players and 80 celebrities to the shores of Pebble Beach each year. The event has a long history and continues to be a highlight on the PGA Tour calendar.

Several famous residents have called Pebble Beach and the surrounding area home, including Clint Eastwood, Arnold Palmer, and Peter Ueberroth, who purchased the resort in 1999. Jim Nantz, a well-known sports commentator, also has ties to Pebble Beach, having a replica of the par-3 seventh hole in his backyard before eventually moving to the area.

Brad Pitt is another celebrity who reportedly lives in Carmel Highlands on the Monterey Peninsula. Although it’s unclear how long he has resided there, his home is said to be worth around $40 million. Other notable residents include John Madden, Kim Novak, John Steinbeck, and Warren Stephens, who own properties with views of the golf course and the waterfront.

Salvador Dali sought refuge on the Monterey Peninsula during World War II, staying at the Hotel Del Monte. The area reminded him of Spain and made him feel at home. There is also a museum in Monterey that features a Salvador Dali exhibit. In addition to these famous residents, many celebrities have been spotted in the area, such as Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce, Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Bradley Cooper, and Gigi Hadid.

Pebble Beach Golf Links has a rich history and has been the backdrop for numerous iconic moments in golf and entertainment. The beauty of the course and the exclusivity of the area have attracted celebrities and affluent individuals from around the world. The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am continues to be a must-attend event for golf enthusiasts and fans of celebrity culture alike.

The Monterey Peninsula offers a unique blend of natural beauty, luxury living, and world-class golf. It’s no wonder that so many famous individuals have chosen to make this area their home or vacation destination. With stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, iconic landmarks like Pebble Beach Golf Links, and a vibrant cultural scene, the Monterey Peninsula is truly a special place.
