The Prince’s Golf Club has announced its participation as a host venue for The Hagen54, an exclusive and historic event celebrating legendary golfers Jim Barnes and Walter Hagen’s famous three-course feat in Kent. Scheduled to take place on July 23 – 24, 2025, The Hagen54 will showcase the iconic links of Royal Cinque Ports, Royal St. George’s, and Prince’s Golf Club, offering participants a memorable 54-hole experience in just one day. This event provides golfers with a unique opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Barnes and Hagen, who played all three Kent links courses in a single day back in 1920.

Participants in The Hagen54 will start their journey with 11 holes at the Deal course at Royal Cinque Ports, followed by 10 holes at Royal St. George’s, before completing all 18 holes at Prince’s Golf Club and returning to the starting hole. The day will conclude with finishing the remaining holes on the other two Championship courses, creating a once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience this historic golfing adventure. Prince’s Golf Club’s General Manager, Rob McGuirk, expressed his excitement about hosting this prestigious event and celebrating the rich golfing heritage of the Kent coastline.

The itinerary for The Hagen54 includes an optional round of golf at either Prince’s or Royal Cinque Ports on Wednesday, July 23, followed by a welcome reception and BBQ at Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club. The main event will start on Thursday, July 24, with a shotgun start at dawn, on-course catering, caddies available on request, and a post-golf supper to celebrate the day’s achievements. Being part of this extraordinary celebration of golf history, Prince’s Golf Club is proud to offer its championship-standard links, stunning coastal scenery, and renowned hospitality as the backdrop for The Hagen54.

Golfers participating in The Hagen54 will not only have the opportunity to play on three Championship courses but also to enjoy the camaraderie and challenge of completing this iconic route with friends and family. The event aims to continue the legacy of thrilling championships and iconic winners on the famous layouts of the southeast of England.
