Wesley Bryan and Sam Stevens had an eventful journey to the 3M Open in Minnesota after dealing with travel issues caused by a global outage. The two PGA Tour pros, who roomed together during the Barracuda Championship in Tahoe, opted to drive all the way to TPC Twin Cities after their connecting flight was canceled in Salt Lake City. Despite the daunting prospect of an 18-and-a-half-hour drive, Bryan and Stevens had a memorable road trip filled with podcasts, fast food stops, and tourist attractions along the way.

During their epic journey, Bryan received news that his caddie’s wife had gone into labor three-and-a-half weeks early, forcing him to find a last-minute replacement upon arriving at the 3M Open. Additionally, they weren’t the only Tour pros facing travel setbacks, as a group of eight players, including Chan Kim, also had their flights canceled. Instead of driving, they chartered a private jet to get to the tournament, marking Kim’s first-ever private flight experience.

Despite the travel challenges, all the pros eventually made it to TPC Twin Cities for the 3M Open, which is scheduled to kick off on Thursday, July 25th. Bryan and Stevens, along with the rest of the field, are looking to put their travel woes behind them and focus on competing in the tournament. The journey may have been unconventional, but it serves as a reminder of the dedication and determination required to succeed in the competitive world of professional golf.

The story of Bryan and Stevens’ road trip to the 3M Open has captured the attention of fans and fellow players alike, showcasing the camaraderie and resilience of these professional golfers. Despite the challenges they faced, the duo turned a potential setback into an unforgettable adventure, highlighting the unpredictable nature of life on the PGA Tour. Their willingness to take risks and adapt to changing circumstances is a testament to the grit and determination required to succeed at the highest level of the sport.

The global outage that disrupted travel plans for Bryan, Stevens, and other Tour pros serves as a reminder of the reliance on technology in the modern world and the vulnerabilities that come with it. In an age where connectivity is crucial for everyday life, unexpected incidents like this can have far-reaching effects, impacting individuals across the globe. The ability to adapt and find creative solutions, as demonstrated by Bryan and Stevens, is essential for navigating unforeseen challenges and achieving success in any field.

As the 3M Open gets underway, all eyes will be on the players who overcame adversity to make it to the tournament, including Bryan, Stevens, and their fellow pros. The competition promises to be fierce, with top talent vying for victory on the picturesque course at TPC Twin Cities. As fans tune in to watch the action unfold, they will be treated to a display of skill, resilience, and sportsmanship from some of the best golfers in the world. Despite the tumultuous journey to get there, the focus now shifts to the task at hand – competing for glory and chasing their dreams on the PGA Tour stage.
