The 2025 LIV Golf season is set to kick off in Saudi Arabia on February 6th, but there are reports of a new International Series tournament being announced in New Delhi, India. The International Series is a collection of 10 tournaments co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour and LIV Golf, providing an opportunity for LIV players to earn rankings points and a pathway to the upstart league. The winner of the International Series Order of Merit also earns a spot in LIV. One of the most exciting aspects of this potential tournament is the involvement of Bryson DeChambeau, who is in talks to participate and could become the first men’s major champion to play a pro event in India.

DeChambeau has expressed his excitement about the opportunity to play in India and support his fellow LIV Crushers teammate Anirban Lahiri, who is from India. If the tournament takes place, DeChambeau and Lahiri could be joined by other Crushers teammates like Paul Casey and Charles Howell III, with the possibility of more LIV players entering the field as well. DeChambeau highlighted his interest in being a global player and enjoying the experience of competing in different countries. The tournament is expected to take place from January 30th to February 2nd at the DLF Golf & Country Club’s Gurugram course, just before the start of the 2025 LIV Golf season.

The potential inclusion of DeChambeau in the India tournament has generated significant buzz within the golf community, as it could mark a historic moment in the sport. Fans are eagerly anticipating the official announcement of the tournament and the participation of top LIV Golf players. The opportunity to see DeChambeau, Lahiri, Casey, and Howell III compete in India adds a new level of excitement to the upcoming golf season. The Hindustan Times report also hinted at the possibility of more LIV players joining the field, further increasing the star power of the event.

For DeChambeau, playing in India would be a unique experience and a chance to expand his global presence in the sport. The prospect of competing in a new location and supporting his teammate Lahiri adds a personal touch to his participation in the tournament. The India tournament could serve as a showcase for LIV Golf and its talented roster of players, attracting new fans and viewers to the sport. As the golf season approaches, all eyes will be on this upcoming event in India and the potential impact it could have on the future of LIV Golf.
