The Epson Tour is currently in the midst of awarding 15 LPGA cards for the 2025 season, with five already awarded and ten remaining to be claimed among the field of 108 golfers. The 2024 Epson Tour Championship is taking place at the Indian Wells Golf Resort in California, marking the first time the event is being held at this location. Additionally, the Race for the Card has shifted from a money-based system to a points-based system this season, with the golfer who finishes first being named the 2024 Epson Tour Player of the Year. By the end of the tournament, a 2024 Epson Rookie of the Year will also be determined.

This four-day, 72-hole stroke play event boasts a $287,500 purse and has already seen several players secure their 2025 LPGA cards. The list of players who have already achieved this feat will continue to be updated as the tournament progresses. One of the players who has already secured their card is Lauren Stephenson, who showcased her skills during the second round of the 2024 Portland Classic at Columbia Edgewater Country Club. Yahui Zhang is another player who has emerged victorious, accepting her trophy for winning the 2024 Four Winds Invitational at the South Bend Country Club.

Jessica Porvasnik, Fatima Fernandez Cano, and Brooke Matthews have also shown impressive performances during the tournament, with Porvasnik focusing on her second shot on the fifth hole and Matthews displaying her skills during the first round of the Four Winds Invitational. Cano demonstrated her abilities by lining up a shot on the 18th hole during the final round of the event. As the tournament progresses, the remaining LPGA cards for the 2025 season will continue to be awarded to the top performers in the field.

The Epson Tour provides a platform for up-and-coming golfers to showcase their talent and earn their spot on the prestigious LPGA Tour. The shift to a points-based system for determining LPGA card recipients adds a new level of competition and excitement to the season. The Indian Wells Golf Resort in California serves as a fitting backdrop for this year’s Epson Tour Championship, offering a challenging course for players to test their skills. The 2025 season on the LPGA Tour is shaping up to be an exciting one, with talented players vying for the remaining LPGA cards at stake. As the competition heats up in the coming days, fans can expect to see some thrilling performances and impressive displays of skill on the course.
