The 2024 PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club in Kentucky is set to kick off with a two-tee start, and the tee times for the opening two rounds have been announced. Rory McIlroy, looking to end a 10-year major drought, is scheduled to tee off at 1.15pm UK time on Thursday. McIlroy, who won this title in 2014 at Valhalla, will play alongside former US Open winners Dustin Johnson and Justin Rose in the first and second rounds.

Defending champion Brooks Koepka will start his campaign at 1.37pm, playing with Max Homa and Jordan Spieth, who will be vying to complete the Grand Slam by winning all four majors this week. Tiger Woods is set to tee off at 1.04pm alongside Adam Scott and Keegan Bradley. Masters champion and world number one Scottie Scheffler will have a later start time at 7.13pm, playing with Open winner Brian Harman and Wyndham Clark.

Jon Rahm, Rickie Fowler, and Cameron Young are scheduled to start at 7.02pm, while Matt Fitzpatrick will be playing with Phil Mickelson and Collin Morikawa at 6.51pm. The full tee sheet has been released, with the first tee time scheduled for 12.15pm. The weather forecast for the week in Kentucky shows a mix of conditions, with light cloud on Thursday, showers and thunderstorms on Friday, occasional light showers on Saturday, and sunny skies on Sunday.

The anticipation is high for the players as they prepare to compete at Valhalla Golf Club, a historic venue known for hosting major championships. The tournament promises to be a thrilling one with a strong field of contenders, including past major champions and rising stars in the world of golf. The two-tee start adds to the excitement, offering fans the chance to see more players in action right from the beginning of the tournament.

As players like McIlroy, Koepka, Woods, and Scheffler seek to make their mark at the PGA Championship, the competition is expected to be fierce. With the potential for a new major champion to emerge or for a seasoned player to add to their collection of titles, the stakes are high for all involved. Fans can expect to witness some incredible golf over the course of the tournament, with drama and excitement unfolding at every turn on the challenging Valhalla Golf Club course.

With the tee times now set, players will be fine-tuning their preparations for the tournament, working on their game and strategy to give themselves the best chance of success. The varying weather conditions forecasted for the week will add an extra element of challenge, testing the players’ abilities to adapt and perform under different circumstances. As the action gets underway, fans can look forward to a thrilling competition that showcases the best of professional golf at one of the sport’s most prestigious events.
