The next wave of PGA Tour players officially earned their cards on Sunday at the season-ending DP World Tour Race to Dubai. Only three players had secured their spots in the top 10, leaving seven spots up for grabs. However, only one player managed to play his way into the top 10 to become a PGA Tour member for 2025.
Last year, Robert MacIntyre and Matthieu Pavon earned their PGA Tour cards via the Race to Dubai and went on to win on the PGA Tour this season. Pavon won the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines, while MacIntyre claimed the RBC Canadian Open and the Genesis Scottish Open.
The 10 DP World Tour players who earned PGA Tour cards on Sunday include Rasmus Hojgaard of Denmark, who finished second to Rory McIlroy in Dubai. Hojgaard will join his brother, Nicolai, on the PGA Tour.
Thriston Lawrence of South Africa secured his spot in the top 10, and mathematically had a chance to win the Race to Dubai. Paul Waring of England earned his PGA Tour card for 2025 by winning last week in Abu Dhabi.
Jesper Svensson of Sweden finished T-7 in Dubai to lock up his card, while Niklas Norgaard of Denmark earned his card despite a T-40 finish at Jumeirah. Matteo Manassero of Italy, once a rising star in European golf, is now heading to the PGA Tour.
Thorbjorn Olesen of Denmark played 16 PGA Tour events this year and made 10 cuts, with two top-25 finishes. Antoine Rozner of France finished T-3 in Dubai to secure his card, while Rikuya Hoshino of Japan is the latest Japanese star to earn a PGA Tour card.
Tom McKibbin of Northern Ireland was the only player outside the top 10 to play his way into the top 10, with Rory McIlroy being the first to congratulate him. Overall, these 10 players have earned their PGA Tour cards for the 2025 season through their performances at the DP World Tour Race to Dubai.
