The U.S. Women’s Open is set to take place at Lancaster Country Club, marking the second time the event has been held at this venue. As the world’s No. 1 player, Nelly Korda, comes into the tournament fresh off a victory at April’s Chevron Championship, she is a dominant force with six wins this season. Korda’s lead in the rankings is substantial, with a gap between her and the No. 2 spot larger than between the second spot and the final ranking in 1,620th place. Despite her impressive season, Korda has not performed well in previous U.S. Women’s Open events and has never competed at Lancaster, adding an element of uncertainty to her quest for a third major victory.

As the 156-player field prepares to compete, we have ranked the top 25 contenders for the title. The list includes players like In Gee Chun, Lauren Coughlin, Allisen Corpuz, and Charley Hull, each showcasing their own strengths and potential for success. Other notable contenders include Jin Hee Im, Jiyai Shin, Celine Boutier, and Ruoning Yin, bringing a diverse range of skills and experience to the competition. With a mix of veterans and rising stars in the field, the stage is set for an exciting and competitive tournament.

Among the top contenders is Patty Tavatanakit, Sei Young Kim, and Madelene Sagstrom, each of whom has shown consistency and strong performances leading up to the U.S. Women’s Open. Lydia Ko, Brooke Henderson, Atthaya Thitikul, Maja Stark, Rose Zhang, and Hannah Green are also expected to make a strong impact on the leaderboard. With multiple-time winners and emerging talents vying for the title, the competition is expected to be fierce, and the leaderboard could see some significant shifts over the course of the tournament.

At the top of the rankings is Nelly Korda, the favorite to clinch her third major victory. Despite her less than stellar record in the U.S. Women’s Open, Korda’s recent performances have showcased her growth and improvement as a player. With a new level of confidence and consistency, Korda is poised to make a strong showing at Lancaster Country Club. As the tournament unfolds, all eyes will be on Korda and the other top contenders as they battle it out for the prestigious title of U.S. Women’s Open champion.
