Rickie Fowler’s career took a turn in the summer of 2022 when he was in a slump. Desperate for answers, Fowler called in his former swing coach, Butch Harmon, to help him rebuild his swing. The progress was quick, with Fowler achieving top finishes in tournaments. However, he was hesitant to claim that he was back. Despite not winning the U.S. Open, Fowler secured a victory at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, becoming a PGA Tour winner after more than four years.

As defending champion, Fowler returned to the Rocket Mortgage this year, but his struggles have resurfaced. With no top-10 finishes in 17 starts this year and a drop in his world ranking, Fowler’s performance has been lackluster. He attributes his struggles to ineffective putting, which has put pressure on other aspects of his game. Despite his challenges, Fowler remains hopeful and focused on improving his game.

After some promising performances, Fowler’s game took a hit with two missed cuts at major tournaments. His recent performance at the Travelers Championship provided a glimmer of hope with a T20 finish. Fowler believes that putting is the key to unlocking his potential, and he is working on improving in that area to alleviate pressure on other shots.

Fowler’s perspective on golf has shifted as he has started a family and realized that winning is not everything. He recognizes the importance of balancing his personal life with his career and finding joy in the game beyond winning trophies. Despite the ups and downs of his career, Fowler remains dedicated and prideful, seeking to reignite his passion for the game with each tournament.

As Fowler continues to work on his game and navigate the challenges of professional golf, he remains resilient and determined to find success on the course. With a supportive team behind him and a focus on improving his putting, Fowler looks to overcome his struggles and regain his form on the PGA Tour. His journey serves as a reminder of the resilience and perseverance required to succeed in a competitive sport like golf.

In conclusion, Rickie Fowler’s career has seen its share of ups and downs, but his dedication to the game and passion for improvement continue to drive him forward. Despite facing challenges and setbacks, Fowler remains focused on regaining his form and competing at the highest level. With a renewed mindset and commitment to his game, Fowler’s journey in golf serves as an inspiration to aspiring golfers and a testament to the resilience required to succeed in professional sports.
