The Performances of All 10 DP World Tour Graduates leading up to the FedEx Cup Playoffs Cut-Off

Following the DP World Tour Championship in 2023, 10 players were awarded PGA Tour cards for the next season as part of a strengthened alliance between the two circuits. Although only nine of them competed in the 2024 PGA Tour season, it is time to assess the impact of the new arrivals as the regular PGA Tour season concludes with the Wyndham Championship.

Pole Adrian Meronk, who won two DP World Tour titles in 2023, declined to compete on the PGA Tour despite earning his card. Frenchman Matthieu Pavon, on the other hand, embraced the opportunity and started his PGA Tour journey with a T7 finish at the Sony Open in Hawaii, eventually winning the Farmers Insurance Open. Pavon’s strong performances have secured his spot in next year’s signature events.

Scot Robert MacIntyre also found success on the PGA Tour with wins at the RBC Canadian Open and the Genesis Scottish Open, solidifying his position in the top 50 of the FedEx Cup standings. Victor Perez, who claimed victory at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, has had notable finishes this season and is on the cusp of the FedEx Cup Playoffs.

Finn Sami Valimaki, despite a runner-up finish at the Mexico Open, has struggled this season and sits at 94th in the FedEx Cup standings. New Zealand’s Ryan Fox has had mixed results but is safely inside the top 125, while Ryo Hisatsune aims to secure his first top 10 finish on the PGA Tour.

Jorge Campillo, Thorbjorn Olesen, and Alexander Bjork, three of the DP World Tour graduates, face the possibility of losing their full PGA Tour playing privileges after one season as they are below the top 125 in the FedEx Cup standings. Bjork has had a challenging season, while Campillo and Olesen have a chance to climb above the threshold and retain their playing rights.

Overall, the DP World Tour graduates have made an impact on the PGA Tour, with players like Pavon and MacIntyre securing wins and top finishes. While some have faced challenges, others like Perez and Fox are on the verge of qualifying for the FedEx Cup Playoffs. As the season comes to a close, these players will aim to finish strong and solidify their positions on the PGA Tour.
