Belgian golfer Thomas Pieters is looking forward to the 2025 season after a mixed 2024 on the LIV Golf League. Pieters is one of six LIV players set to compete at the Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour. Despite finishing 30th in the individual LIV Golf standings last year, Pieters is optimistic about his chances for the upcoming season. His best result in 2024 came at LIV Golf Singapore, where he finished T5th.

In an interview with Golf Monthly, Pieters expressed his excitement about playing in Dubai for two weeks in a row. He believes that getting some practice and competitive play at the DP World Tour events will help him improve his form. Although Pieters previously stated that the level of play in the LIV Golf League is superior to the DP World Tour, he continues to hold the traditional tour in high regard.

Pieters misses playing in Europe and enjoying the culture and atmosphere of cities like Paris and London. He expressed his love for the European tour and is excited to play five or six events in Europe during the upcoming season. Despite facing disappointment at the Soudal Open in Belgium in 2024, where he narrowly missed out on victory, Pieters ended the year on a positive note with top 15 finishes in Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

Like other LIV players, Pieters hopes for exemptions into Major championships but is content with the current situation. He believes that top players in the LIV Golf League deserve a chance to compete in Major events. While he would be thrilled to play in another Major, Pieters is focused on his schedule and is not actively pursuing opportunities to play in those tournaments.

Overall, Thomas Pieters is looking forward to the 2025 season with optimism and determination. Despite facing challenges and setbacks in 2024, he is ready to showcase his skills on the LIV Golf League and DP World Tour. With a strong start at the Dubai Desert Classic, Pieters aims to build momentum and achieve success throughout the year.
