Tiger Woods and TGR Design are once again teaming up to build a new course, this time in Aledo, Texas, just outside of Fort Worth. The Bluejack Ranch project, set on a 900-acre working ranch, is expected to open in 2026. The developers behind the project, Andy and Kristin Mitchell, previously worked with Woods on the successful Bluejack National course near Houston in 2016. Joining them on the team is former PGA Tour player J.J. Henry, a Fort Worth resident who played with Woods on the 2006 U.S. Ryder Cup team.

The course, designed by Woods and partner Beau Welling of TGR Design, will feature dramatic elevation changes and stunning scenery. In addition to the main course, the property will include practice facilities, a par-3 course, family entertainment area, spa, and wellness center, as well as a podcast studio. This project continues Woods’ successful venture into course design, adding to his portfolio of projects that include Payne’s Valley, El Cardonal, and the Hay course at Pebble Beach. TGR Design is also working on Trout National in southern New Jersey, backed by baseball great Mike Trout.

Aside from his course design projects, Woods is also involved in other ventures, including the TGL indoor golf league set to launch in 2025. He is a member of the PGA Tour Policy Board, where he is helping shape the future of men’s professional golf. Despite his busy schedule, Woods declined an offer to captain the U.S. Ryder Cup team in 2025, citing time constraints. While recovering from his latest back surgery, Woods remains active in the golf world, focusing on roles that allow him to contribute to the sport in different ways.

Bluejack Ranch sits on a large property that currently houses horses, cattle, and other livestock, providing a picturesque backdrop for the new course. The development team is excited to bring this project to life after years of planning and anticipation. Henry, who played alongside Woods in the Ryder Cup, expressed his pride in being part of a project with such potential. The amenities planned for the course, including the par-3 course and entertainment area, are expected to make it a popular destination for golfers and families alike.

TGR Design’s reputation for creating unique and challenging courses precedes them, with each project bringing its own set of challenges and opportunities. The collaboration between Woods and Welling has proven successful in the past, with their designs receiving critical acclaim and attracting players from around the world. With Bluejack Ranch, they aim to create a course that not only challenges golfers but also provides a memorable experience for visitors. The inclusion of various amenities and facilities further enhances the appeal of the property, making it a well-rounded destination for golf enthusiasts.

In addition to his design work, Woods continues to be a prominent figure in the golf world, using his influence to shape the future of the sport. His involvement in projects like the TGL indoor golf league and the PGA Tour Policy Board demonstrates his commitment to improving the game for players and fans alike. While his playing career may be on hold due to his injury, Woods’ impact on the sport remains strong, as seen through his various endeavors. Bluejack Ranch is just the latest example of Woods’ dedication to furthering the game of golf through innovative design and development projects.
