American Peter Uihlein is in the lead after the third round of the US$2 million International Series England, positioning himself for his first win on the Asian Tour. He finished the round with a two-under-par 69, chipping in for a birdie on the 18th hole to secure a one-shot lead over Harold Varner III. Varner fired a 65 and is one stroke ahead of Englishman Richard Bland and American Caleb Surratt, who returned a 69.

Uihlein expressed his feelings about the round, acknowledging that it was a bit up and down but ultimately salvaged his game with some nice putts towards the end. With three previous wins in his 13-year professional career, he is aiming for a significant milestone with a potential victory on the Asian Tour. Uihlein’s performance included five birdies, a double, and one bogey, showcasing his skill and determination to secure a win in this tournament.

Harold Varner III, a previous winner on the Asian Tour, delivered a strong performance on day three of the International Series England. He shot six under par without any bogeys, highlighting his consistency and solid play throughout the round. Varner emphasized the need to maintain his current level of play and control his game for the upcoming final day of the tournament.

Richard Bland, who has claimed two senior majors this year, shared his struggles with his golf swing but managed to finish strong with birdies on four of the last five holes. Despite facing challenges with his game, Bland’s determination and resilience allowed him to progress through the tournament and remain competitive among the top players.

During the round, Bland experienced a moment of frustration when he snapped the shaft of his three wood after a poor tee shot. However, he was able to refocus and utilize a simple philosophy to improve his game for the remaining holes. Bland’s ability to adapt and overcome obstacles on the course positioned him well for the final day of the International Series England.

Caleb Surratt, another player on the LIV Golf League, led for a significant portion of the day but faltered with double bogeys on the 15th and 16th holes. Despite these setbacks, Surratt remains in contention for the tournament with a solid performance overall. Other players in the mix include Richard T. Lee, Andy Sullivan, Sadom Kaewkanjana, and Richard Dinwiddie, who are all within striking distance of the lead.

Overall, the competition at the International Series England is shaping up to be exciting and intense as players vie for the top spot. With Uihlein, Varner, Bland, and Surratt leading the pack, the final day promises to deliver thrilling golf action and potential surprises. Fans can follow the tournament and get tickets by visiting the official International Series website. As the competition heats up, each player’s skill, mental toughness, and strategy will play a crucial role in determining the ultimate champion of the event.
