Emery Johnson, wearing number four for Team Utah in the PGA Jr. League National Championship, made a remarkable ace with a 6-iron from 132 yards during the 2024 13u National Car Rental PGA Jr. League Championship at PGA Frisco’s Fields Ranch West in Frisco, Texas. This incredible feat has made Johnson a standout player, winning the hearts of fans despite being the number one player in the tournament. The competition featured twelve All-Star teams consisting of 96 junior golfers aged 10-13, all competing for the Championship title, which was broadcast live on ESPN platforms.

Johnson’s impressive tee shot at the par-3 fifth hole went straight into the hole for a slam-dunk ace, eliciting a priceless reaction of disbelief from the young golfer. His teammate Jraice Finau, son of PGA Tour star Tony Finau, was standing behind him on the tee and started the celebration, with Tony joining in soon after. Johnson expressed his excitement, stating that it was his first hole in one and that he initially couldn’t believe what had just happened. The wind conditions played a role in his club selection, ultimately leading to a perfect shot that left his teammates in awe.

Jraice Finau also shared his surprise at the shot, initially thinking it hit the cameraman behind before realizing it was a perfect ace. The instinctive reaction to pick Johnson up in celebration added to the joyous moment for the Utah team. Johnson’s teammates rushed over from the next tee to congratulate him on his remarkable achievement, creating a celebratory atmosphere on the course. Tony Finau commended Johnson for his outstanding performance, stating that having a hole in one on ESPN is a dream come true and deserving of all the hype surrounding the impressive shot.

The ace by Emery Johnson has been hailed as the shot of the day during the championship, showcasing the young golfer’s talent and skill on the course. The moment was captured and shared on social media, garnering attention and admiration from golf enthusiasts worldwide. Johnson’s incredible feat has solidified his position as a standout player in the tournament, further establishing his reputation as a promising talent to watch in the future. The PGA Jr. League Championship provided a platform for young golfers like Johnson to showcase their abilities and compete at a high level, setting the stage for future success in the sport.
