The second round of the Wyndham Championship saw several big names miss the cut, including Justin Rose, who narrowly missed out by one stroke, Jordan Spieth, who struggled in the final holes, and Nick Taylor, who squandered his lead from the first round. Other notable players who missed the cut include Robert MacIntyre, Shane Lowry, and Will Zalatoris.

Justin Rose put up a fight in the second round, finishing his round with a 67 but ultimately fell short by one stroke. Jordan Spieth also struggled in the final holes, finishing with a bogey on the 17th and 18th holes. Nick Taylor, who initially seemed like a strong contender after a strong first round, struggled on the back nine of his second round and ultimately missed the cut.

Robert MacIntyre, who had a breakthrough season with two PGA Tour victories, failed to make the cut after shooting 68-70 in the first two rounds. Shane Lowry’s putter let him down as he struggled on the greens and missed the cut with scores of 70-68. Will Zalatoris, who claimed his back felt great but struggled with his game, missed the cut after shooting 68-72.

Several other players also missed the cut at the Wyndham Championship, including Nick Dunlap, Akshay Bhatia, and Min Woo Lee. Despite shooting respectable scores, they fell short of making the cut and will not advance to the next round. With the cut line projected at 4 under 136, several players will have to wait to see if they hold on to their rankings in the FedEx Cup standings.

The defending champion, Lucas Glover, struggled to defend his title after shooting 70-71 and missing the cut. Despite acing the 12th hole during the second round, Glover’s overall performance was not enough to secure his spot in the next round. Overall, the Wyndham Championship saw several unexpected results as big names failed to make the cut, setting the stage for an exciting final round.
