Blades Brown, a top amateur golfer and reigning three-time individual state champion from Tennessee, has decided to forgo attending Brentwood Academy in order to focus on his golf career. The 16-year-old, ranked as the No. 4 boys golfer in the class of 2026, will be taking online courses to better manage his busy golf schedule. Brown, who was on track to potentially win a historic fifth consecutive Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association golf individual state championship, recently made his PGA Tour debut and has been making waves in the golf world.

With a Callaway sponsorship and a string of impressive victories, Brown has established himself as a rising star in the golfing community. He recently tied the state tournament two-day scoring record with a remarkable 6-under-par performance, helping lead Brentwood Academy to a team state title. In addition to his high school achievements, Brown has also excelled in national tournaments and recently contributed to the U.S. National Junior team’s victory over Australia in a friendly competition.

Ranked No. 10 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings and No. 117 in the World Golf Amateur Rankings, Brown’s talent and dedication have not gone unnoticed. In 2023, he made headlines by breaking Bobby Jones’ record as the youngest medalist in the U.S. Amateur, tying for first place in the event’s stroke play portion. This accomplishment earned him a sponsor exemption into the PGA Tour’s Myrtle Beach Classic, where he finished in a respectable tie for 26th place.

Managed by the Sportfive sports marketing agency, Brown has secured lucrative NIL deals with major brands like Callaway and Transcend Capital Advisors. With a busy upcoming schedule that includes the prestigious U.S. Amateur event at Hazeltine National Golf Club, Brown’s future in golf looks promising. Despite his decision to leave traditional schooling behind, Brown remains committed to pursuing his passion and achieving success at the highest levels of the sport.

As a young golfer with immense potential, Blades Brown is poised to make a significant impact in the golfing world. His decision to prioritize his golf career by taking online courses reflects his dedication to achieving his goals and making the most of his talents. With a track record of success in both high school and national tournaments, Brown has already made a name for himself as a top amateur golfer with a bright future ahead.

In addition to his impressive golfing achievements, Brown has also gained recognition for his sportsmanship and leadership qualities. Named The Tennessean’s boys athlete of the year, he has garnered praise and accolades for his exceptional talent and dedication to the sport. With a strong support system that includes a loving family and professional representation from Sportfive, Brown is well-positioned to continue his trajectory of success in the golfing world.

By making the decision to focus on his golf career and take online courses, Brown has demonstrated a mature and forward-thinking approach to achieving his goals. With a rigorous training and competition schedule ahead, he is committed to putting in the hard work and dedication required to succeed in the competitive world of professional golf. As he continues to hone his skills and gain valuable experience on the course, Blades Brown is likely to emerge as a dominant force in the sport in the years to come.
