In the world of professional golf, the start of 2025 has brought some significant changes in terms of players switching gear sponsors and upgrading their equipment. While Max Homa made a move to Cobra, big names like Xander Schauffele and Collin Morikawa have also switched to new drivers this week. Callaway, Cobra, and Cleveland are among the only OEMs to announce their 2025 drivers, but Tour pros always seem to get their hands on the latest gear before the general public. Let’s take a closer look at who is already playing the new 2025 drivers at the Sentry in Hawaii.

Callaway officially launched their new driver, the Elyte product line, in 2025. Xander Schauffele, who previously won two major championships with the Paradym Ai Smoke driver, made the switch to the new Elyte Triple Diamond driver. Schauffele shared that transitioning to the new driver was effortless and he immediately felt comfortable with it on the course. Along with Schauffele, pros like Akshay Bhatia, Max Greyserman, Adam Hadwin, Si Woo Kim, and defending champ Chris Kirk are also using the new Callaway driver at the Sentry in Hawaii.

Cobra made a significant gear splash in 2025 when they announced Max Homa as their newest Tour staffer. Homa is debuting the new DS-ADAPT LS driver and playing a 9-degree head with the FutureFit33 hosel in the C4 setting. Rickie Fowler also put the DS-ADAPT X driver into play last month, showcasing Cobra’s innovative technology in their driver lineup. The Ping G440, although not yet released, has already seen success on the PGA Tour with Joaquin Niemann winning the PIF Saudi International. Players like Corey Conners, Sahith Theegala, and Austin Eckroat are currently gaming the new Ping driver at the Sentry.

TaylorMade’s Qi35 driver has already made its debut on the course, with Collin Morikawa choosing the Qi35 LS driver for his 2025 season. Morikawa, who won two major championships with the trusty SIM driver, has transitioned to the new Qi35 model and is already seeing success on the course. Nick Dunlap, the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year, is also switching to the Qi35 core model after finding success with the Qi10 LS and Ping G430 LST. TaylorMade’s innovative technology and design have impressed players like Morikawa and Dunlap, prompting them to make the switch to the new driver.

If you’re looking to overhaul your golf bag for the upcoming season, consider visiting a True Spec Golf fitting location to find the perfect equipment for your game. With pros like Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, and Max Homa already making the switch to new 2025 drivers, it’s clear that staying up-to-date with the latest gear can elevate your performance on the course. Whether it’s Callaway, Cobra, Ping, or TaylorMade, there are plenty of options available to help you improve your game and achieve success in the world of professional golf.
