Lydia Hall Clinches Fourth WPGA Title at Vic Open

Porthcawl’s Lydia Hall celebrated a remarkable achievement this week as she claimed her fourth title on the WPGA Tour of Australasia by winning the Vic Open at the stunning 13th Beach Golf Links.

A Commanding Victory

At 38 years old, Hall finished the 72-hole tournament with a score of level par, securing her victory four shots ahead of fellow competitors Kelsey Bennett and Kathryn Norris from Australia.

Hall’s Reflections on Her Win

In a post-tournament interview, Hall expressed her excitement about starting the season with a win after 18 years of competition. "I’m really pleased to kick the season off with the win. First time for everything. It’s definitely one that I’ve always wanted to have on my CV at the end of my career," she stated, reflecting on the significance of this historic event.

Career Highlights

Lydia Hall’s most notable career victory remains the Ladies British Masters title she earned in 2012. Now, with her sights set on the upcoming events co-sanctioned by the WPGA Tour of Australasia and the Ladies European Tour, including the Women’s Australian Open at Kooyonga and the Australian WPGA Championship at Sanctuary Cove, Hall is eager to continue her pursuit of excellence.

"As long as I can keep doing what I’ve been doing, I know I’ve always got a chance," Hall added, showcasing the confidence that comes with her experience in the sport.
