Bailey Tardy, a professional golfer from Georgia, recently won her first LPGA title at the Blue Bay LPGA in March. However, her journey since then has been challenging, with 13 missed cuts and a withdrawal after her victory. Despite these setbacks, Tardy’s performance has started to improve, as evidenced by her fourth-place finish at the Maybank Championship in Malaysia, where she shot her best round since winning the Blue Bay.

In Malaysia, Tardy attributed her improved performance to her putting skills, which had been a struggle for her throughout the season. She noted that her putting had significantly improved over the last three weeks, leading to her success on the greens during the Maybank Championship. Tardy’s resurgence in putting was evident as she ranked 30th in putting at the Shanghai event and 13th at the Maybank, a significant improvement from her previous rankings.

While Tardy currently ranks 152nd in putts per greens in regulation on the season, her recent success in Malaysia has helped her climb the standings for the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship. Tardy moved from 65th on the points list to 50th, putting her in a better position to qualify for the event. The CME Group Tour Championship, held in Naples, Florida, boasts a record-setting $4 million prize for the winner, making it a highly anticipated event for all competitors.

Despite her improved performance, Tardy has decided not to play in the upcoming event in Japan, choosing instead to return home and spend time with her dog. The fall Asian swing has been a turning point for Tardy, as she leaves the tour with a renewed sense of confidence and positivity heading into the next stage of her career. With her putting skills on the rise and her overall performance improving, Tardy is poised to make a strong comeback in future tournaments.

Overall, Bailey Tardy’s journey in professional golf has been marked by ups and downs, but her recent success in Malaysia at the Maybank Championship signals a turning point in her career. With a renewed focus on her putting and a positive outlook on her game, Tardy has shown that she has the resilience and determination to overcome obstacles and achieve success on the LPGA Tour. As she continues to hone her skills and build on her recent achievements, Tardy is poised to make a name for herself as a rising star in women’s golf.
