Titleist recently introduced their latest GT drivers, which has garnered positive feedback from professional golfers such as Lee Hodges and Will Zalatoris. The new GT2 model is said to have a different feel compared to its predecessor, with a more muted and solid impact off the face. Hodges noted that the ball speed may have increased slightly, but overall, the performance of the GT2 is on par or even better than the previous model. Zalatoris, on the other hand, emphasized the significant improvements in ball speed and carry distance he experienced with the GT2. He mentioned that even mishits are more forgiving with the new driver, resulting in straighter shots and enhanced accuracy.

Zalatoris highlighted the ease of transitioning to the GT2, as he was able to use the same shaft and settings from his previous driver. The immediate gain in ball speed and carry distance was a significant factor for him, further solidifying the benefits of the new driver. He emphasized the importance of accuracy on the Tour, pointing out that even minor improvements in dispersion can have a significant impact on a player’s performance. The feel of the GT2 was another key aspect that stood out to Zalatoris, describing it as solid and fast off the face, with a dampened sound that he personally enjoys.

The seamless transition and immediate performance improvements with the GT2 driver have been a common theme among professional golfers who have tested the new model. The consistency in spin and launch characteristics, coupled with the added distance and accuracy, make the GT2 a compelling choice for players looking to enhance their game. Zalatoris also emphasized the importance of maximizing mishit distances and accuracy, highlighting how the GT2 helps achieve those goals effectively. Overall, the positive feedback from players like Zalatoris and Hodges underscores the performance benefits of the Titleist GT2 drivers and their potential impact on the game of golf.
