There are 15 “equipment free agents” in the OWGR top 100 as of June 9, 2024. These players do not have sponsorship or brand deals to play a specific company’s golf clubs. The excluded players have brand deals for specific clubs such as putters. Players with golf ball deals are still considered “equipment free agents.”

The players listed as “equipment free agents” are free to test and use any golf club made by any brand without restrictions. The information provided is based on the most recent data available, but due to the nature of free agents, their bag setups can vary regularly. The list includes drivers, fairway woods, 7-irons, lob wedges, and putters, with the most popular clubs among the 15 top-ranked players in the OWGR.

Some of the popular drivers used by these “equipment free agents” include the Ping G430 LST, Titleist GT2, and Krank Formula Fire. The fairway woods favored by these players include the Ping G430 Max, TaylorMade Qi10, and Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond. For 7-irons, Titleist T100 and Titleist 620MB are among the top choices.

In terms of lob wedges, players prefer Titleist Vokey WedgeWorks, Titleist Vokey SM9, and Titleist Vokey SM10. The putter choices vary among Odyssey, Scotty Cameron, TaylorMade, and L.A.B. Golf among others. Each player in the top 100 OWGR is listed with their club information, including drivers, fairway woods, 7-irons, lob wedges, and putters. The data is based on the latest What’s in the Bag (WITB) information and photography.

Individual breakdowns for players like Patrick Cantlay, Bryson DeChambeau, Jason Day, Denny McCarthy, and others are provided with their chosen clubs. The list is organized numerically based on club popularity and alphabetically for each category. It’s important to note that the information provided may change due to the dynamic nature of equipment free agents and their tendency to switch clubs frequently.

The article emphasizes the freedom that “equipment free agents” have to test and choose any clubs they desire, showcasing the variety of brands and models they incorporate into their bag setups. The accuracy of the information may fluctuate as players sign new brand deals or make changes to their equipment selections. Despite potential inconsistencies, the data offers insights into the preferences of top-ranked players who do not have specific club sponsorships.
