The 2024 Presidents Cup started off with a disappointing day for the International team as the American side won all five matches. Many players expressed their disappointment in the lack of support from the home crowd at Royal Montreal. Canadian-born player Taylor Pendrith mentioned during a post-round interview that the crowd needs to get louder to show their support for the International team. Tom Kim, another player on the team, agreed and emphasized the importance of the fans being on their side, especially since the event is being held in Canada.

During the matches, Tom Kim led a fiery match against Scottie Scheffler, displaying his passion and energy for the game. Kim mentioned that his excited reactions and fist pumps are not just for himself but also to bring energy to his teammates. However, despite the strong performances from Pendrith and Kim, the International team still needs the support of the crowd to make a comeback in the competition. NBC broadcaster John Wood also acknowledged the lack of partisan crowd support at Royal Montreal and praised Kim for voicing his opinion on the matter.

Fridays can be tough for golf fans as they wrap up their work week before heading to the golf course, but the Internationals need all the support they can get as they face an uphill battle after losing all matches on Thursday. The Americans only need 10.5 more points to secure the Cup, so the Internationals must rely on the home crowd to lift their spirits and rally behind them. The upcoming fourball matches on Friday will be crucial for the Internationals to start their comeback and potentially turn the tide in their favor.

The Presidents Cup is known for its intense competition and passionate fans, with the partisan crowd creating a challenging environment for the away team. The lack of vocal support for the International team at Royal Montreal has been a point of concern, with players and broadcasters noting the subdued atmosphere. As the tournament progresses, the International team will need the crowd to step up and provide the energy and encouragement they need to compete against the dominant American team.

Overall, the 2024 Presidents Cup has seen a strong performance from the American team and a lackluster showing from the International side. The players have called for the crowd to get louder and show their support for the home team, highlighting the importance of fan engagement in team events. As the competition continues, the International team will need a significant boost from the fans to overcome the deficit and make a competitive push for the Cup. The upcoming matches will be crucial in determining the fate of the tournament and whether the International team can stage a comeback against the odds.
