Tiger Woods, the 15-time Major champion, is set to make his debut in the TGL indoor golf league during week two of the competition. Woods, who co-founded TGL alongside Rory McIlroy, will be part of the Jupiter Links GC team taking on Los Angeles GC. His team includes Kevin Kisner and Max Homa, with Woods set to strike the opening tee shot on the 376-yard par-4 first hole known as ‘The Plank.’ While Tom Kim will sit out their opening match, the trio of Woods, Kisner, and Homa are expected to put up a strong performance.

After a successful start to the competition, which attracted around one million viewers for the opening night match between The Bay and New York, anticipation is high for Woods’ debut. Woods was last seen in competitive action towards the end of the year at the 2024 PNC Championship, where he and his son Charlie narrowly missed out on victory. Following a few weeks of rest, Woods is eager to get back on the course and showcase his skills in the TGL league.

On the opposing team, Los Angeles GC will be led by England’s Justin Rose, who recently captained the Great Britain & Ireland squad at the Team Cup in Abu Dhabi. Rose will be joined by Collin Morikawa and Sahith Theegala, two American players ranked World No.4 and 13 respectively. With their strong lineup, LA GC has been labeled as the favorites by bookmakers for not only this week’s match but also for the overall SoFi Cup.

The competition between Jupiter Links GC and Los Angeles GC is expected to be intense, with both teams featuring strong players and an average OWGR rank inside the top 20. The match is scheduled to begin at 7pm ET on Tuesday, January 14, with live coverage available on ESPN and ESPN+. Golf fans are eagerly awaiting Woods’ debut in the TGL league and are looking forward to seeing how he performs alongside his teammates Kisner and Homa.

As Woods steps onto ‘The Plank’ for his opening tee shot, the spotlight will be on the legendary golfer to see if he can lead his team to victory in their first TGL match. With the competition heating up and the stakes rising, viewers can expect an exciting showdown between the Jupiter Links GC and Los Angeles GC teams. Stay tuned to see how Woods and his teammates fare in their quest for TGL glory.
