Women’s Competition: Schedule, Viewing Options, and Format

The Olympics are once again hosting a women’s golf competition, with the field of 60 women heading to Paris to compete at Le Golf National, the same course that hosted the 2018 Ryder Cup. Among the American players competing in this year’s event are reigning gold medalist and World No. 1 Nelly Korda, as well as Lilia Vu and Rose Zhang, who are ranked No. 2 and No. 9 in the world, respectively.

The competition will kick off on Wednesday, Aug. 7, and will conclude on Saturday, Aug. 10, after a 72-hole stroke-play tournament. In 2021, Nelly Korda of the United States claimed the gold medal in the women’s event, with Mone Inami of Japan earning the silver and Lydia Ko of New Zealand taking home the bronze. In the 2016 Olympics, Inbee Park of South Korea won the gold, with Lydia Ko of New Zealand and Shanshan Feng of China winning the silver and bronze medals, respectively.
