Memorable Moments
A ‘Hair-On-Fire’ Experience
Klein vividly recalls the 1999 tragic death of Payne Stewart. In an extraordinary display of journalistic dedication, the team had to scrap the first four pages of an edition that was about to go to print. They worked tirelessly through the night to rewrite those pages, a moment that exemplified the commitment to delivering timely and relevant golf news.
Favorite Golf Course
When asked about his favorite golf course, Klein immediately mentions the Royal Dornoch Golf Club in Scotland, where he has been a member since 1988. He cherishes its breathtaking setting, coupled with the fond memories it brings of northern Scotland.
We extend our gratitude to all former employees who contributed their time and insights to this feature. The community of golf journalism is close-knit, and we take pride in celebrating the accomplishments of our former colleagues.
