The PNC Championship for 2024 saw exciting action as 20 family pairs competed at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando in Florida. Team Woods, consisting of Tiger and Charlie Woods, made a strong start, showcasing their skills and setting the pace early on. The tournament format involved a scramble, with pairs teeing off and selecting the best drive to continue play until the ball was holed. With low scores expected, the leaderboard was constantly changing as birdies were abundant.

Tiger Woods, making his first competitive start since The Open in July, impressed with his form and consistency throughout the tournament. Despite doubts about his readiness for full tournament play, Tiger displayed solid performance, hitting fairways accurately and showing no signs of physical limitations that plagued him in the past. His partnership with his son Charlie proved to be effective, leading to a competitive showing in the tournament.

Team Woods, with Tiger and Charlie, demonstrated excellent synergy and skill, maintaining a steady pace and making crucial birdies to stay in contention throughout the tournament. Tiger’s accurate play and Charlie’s impressive efforts contributed to their success, ultimately leading them to a strong position in the competition. As they navigated the challenging course, Team Woods remained focused and determined to secure a victory in the PNC Championship.

The tournament featured several other notable pairs, such as Team Singh, Team Langer, and Team Annika, who all put up impressive performances. Vijay Singh and his son Qass showcased their competitive spirit by making crucial shots, including an eagle, to stay in contention for the title. Team Langer, led by Bernhard Langer and his son Jason, displayed skill and determination, making key birdies and maintaining a competitive edge. Team Annika, featuring Annika Sorenstam and her son Will McGee, made a remarkable start to the second round with a series of birdies, showcasing their strong teamwork.

The competition intensified as the rounds progressed, with the leaderboard constantly changing as teams vied for the top spot. Notable moments, such as Tiger Woods’ accurate play, Charlie Woods’ impressive shots, and the competitive performances of other pairs, added excitement to the tournament. The teams demonstrated skill, determination, and competitive spirit, making the PNC Championship a thrilling and memorable event for participants and viewers alike.
